Terms & Meanings
The words used across ShowCato and this guide, in plain language.
ShowCato uses a few words in its own way. For example, a quotation and an enquiry are the same thing seen from two sides. Use this list when a word in the seller panel or this guide is not clear. Terms are in A to Z order.

| Active (product) | A product status. Only Active products can be added to catalog links |
| Add-on | A paid monthly feature you switch on from Advance Features, such as Invoice Billing |
| Advance Features | The owner-only page that lists paid add-ons, with an Activate button on each |
| All Buyers (permission) | A team permission that lets a team member see your whole buyer list |
| All Buyers link | An open catalog link anyone can use. Visitors enter their name and mobile or email first (Open Link add-on) |
| Attribute | An option type on a product, such as Size or Colour |
| Base price | The product's price before options, discount and GST |
| Bulk Upload | Adding or updating many products at once from an Excel or CSV file |
| Business Content | The Settings choice between Product Catalog and Services / Packages |
| Business Mail | The email address in Settings where enquiry emails are sent |
| Buyer | Your customer, who opens your catalog link |
| Buyer Analytics | The section on each link that shows visits, time spent and what the buyer viewed and selected |
| Catalog link | A private web address, like showcato.in/c/AB12CD34EF, that shows a buyer the products you picked |
| Category | The main group of a product, such as Shirts. Every product has one |
| Collection | An optional group of products, such as New Arrivals |
| Combination | One line in the buyer's selection: a product with one set of options, such as Red / XL. A product with no options shows as Standard |
| Conditional discount slab | Extra discount when the bill goes above an amount you set |
| Currency | The money symbol buyers see, chosen in Settings. Prices are not converted |
| Deactivate | Stop a catalog link before its expiry time |
| Discount (%) | A link setting that lowers every price on that link. The MRP is shown crossed out |
| Draft (product) | A product status. Draft products are hidden and cannot be shared |
| Draft invoice | An invoice ShowCato prepares from an enquiry, ready for you to check and finalise |
| Enquiry | The record you receive when a buyer generates a quotation. Shown in your Enquiries inbox |
| Exclusive / Inclusive | The GST pricing mode. Exclusive adds GST on top of the price; Inclusive means the price already includes GST |
| Expiry | The time after which a catalog link stops working |
| Extend by | Adds 6, 12, 24 or 48 hours to an active link |
| Formula price | A price worked out from material rates and costs, instead of one fixed MRP |
| GSTIN | Your 15-character GST number, entered in GST & Billing in Settings |
| HSN / SAC | The tax code for a product or service, shown on PDFs when GST is on |
| Interactive view | A catalog where buyers can select products and get a quotation |
| Internal Notes | Private notes on a buyer or enquiry. Buyers never see them |
| Lead | An enquiry that arrived from IndiaMART, TradeIndia, JustDial, Facebook, Google or your website through Lead Connect |
| Lead Connect | The feature that brings leads from other platforms into ShowCato |
| Material rate | Today's price of a raw material, such as gold per gram, used in formula pricing |
| MRP | The price you enter for a fixed-price product |
| Only Added Buyers | A team permission that shows a team member only the buyers they added themselves |
| Own Domain | A paid feature that opens your catalog links on your own website address |
| Package | A bundle the buyer builds step by step from your options (service businesses) |
| Page Content | Your Company Details, About Us, Privacy Policy, Terms & Conditions and Contact Us pages, shown in the catalog menu |
| Permission | An on/off switch that gives a team member access to one section, such as Products or Enquiries |
| Pkg Enquiries | The enquiries inbox for package businesses |
| Price visibility | The link setting that shows all prices, hides all prices, or follows each product's own setting |
| Quotation | The priced PDF the buyer gets after selecting products. You receive it as an enquiry |
| Reactivate | Make an expired or deactivated link work again, at the same address, with a new expiry |
| Role Manager | The owner-only page where you add team members and set their permissions |
| Selected Product | The buyer's selection panel, like a cart, with quantities and totals |
| Shared Catalog | The menu where you create and manage catalog links. Also the team permission for it |
| Showcase view | A PDF-style catalog for browsing only, with a Download PDF button and no ordering |
| SKU | Your own product code |
| Storage | Space for your product photos. 1 GB is free |
| Subcategory | An optional smaller group inside a category, such as Formal under Shirts |
| Support ticket | A help request you raise from Support. Each has a number like TKT-AB12CD34 |
| Team member | A staff login under your account, with the permissions you choose |
| Trash | Where deleted team members go. You can Restore them or Delete Forever |
| Variant | A version of a product, such as Red / XL, built from its attributes and options |
| Verification | A link setting that asks the buyer for an email or mobile number from your buyer list before the catalog opens |
