Packages
Packages are for service businesses. A buyer configures a package step by step and gets a quotation for the whole bundle.
Some businesses do not sell single products. They sell a job that depends on the buyer's choices, like a rooftop solar system, a wedding event or a tour. A package turns those choices into simple questions. The buyer answers them and you get a priced quotation request.
Who packages are for
Roof type, system size and panel brand change the final price.
Venue, menu, decoration and guest count, each with its own price.
Hotel category, transport and add-ons such as sightseeing.
Wood type, finish and size for made-to-order work.
Turn on packages
Go to Settings → Business Profile and set Business Content to Services / Packages. The Packages menu appears.
The other choice is Product Catalog. While a business is set to Services / Packages, the product menus such as Categories, Collections and Products are hidden. The Pkg Enquiries menu appears in their place.
How the builder works
Build a package
- Open Packages and click + Create Package. Fill in the Package Details and click Create Package & Add Steps →.
- The Steps Builder opens. Click + Add Step for each question, such as "Venue", "Catering" or "Decoration".
- In each step, click + Add Option and add the choices with their price modifiers.
- Try it in the Live Preview, then share the package in a catalog link.
Package details
| Field | Details |
|---|---|
| Package Name | Required, up to 200 characters. For example "Rooftop Solar System" |
| Description | Shown to the buyer. Say what the package covers |
| Base / Starting Price | The buyer's price starts here. Options add to or subtract from it |
| Status | Active or Draft. Only Active packages can be picked for a link |
| Show live price to buyer as they configure | Ticked by default. Untick it to hide prices from the buyer |
| Cover Image | Optional image, up to 5 MB |
After the package is created, change these fields any time and click Save Changes.
Steps
Click + Add Step and fill in the step window:
- Step Title: the question, such as "Select Roof Type".
- Helper Text (optional): a short instruction for the buyer.
- Selection Type: Single select (radio) lets the buyer pick one option. Multi select (checkboxes) lets them pick several.
- Required: ticked by default. The buyer cannot send the quotation until they pick an option here.
Click Save Step. Each step card shows its type and whether it is Required or Optional. Use Edit to change a step or Remove to delete it.
Options and price modifiers
Click + Add Option on a step. Enter the Option Label, an optional Description, and choose a Price Modifier with its amount. Click Save Option.
| Price Modifier | What it does | Example |
|---|---|---|
| + Add to price | Adds the amount to the base price | Tin Shed Roof +₹8,000 |
| − Subtract from price | Deducts the amount from the total | Buyer supplies own structure −₹5,000 |
| = Fixed price (override) | Ignores the base and uses this amount as the total | Complete 5 kW Kit =₹2,90,000 |
Use Edit to change an option, or × to delete it.
Use = Fixed price with care. Once the buyer picks a fixed option, the total becomes that amount, and Add or Subtract options in later steps no longer change it.
Live Preview
The Live Preview panel shows the package as a buyer would see it. Click options to test your steps. If prices are shown, the Estimated Total updates as you click.
Worked example: rooftop solar
Base / Starting Price: ₹1,50,000.
| Step | Type | Options |
|---|---|---|
| Select Roof Type | Single, Required | RCC Flat Roof +₹0, Tin Shed Roof +₹8,000 |
| System Size | Single, Required | 3 kW +₹0, 5 kW +₹90,000 |
| Add-ons | Multi, Optional | Monitoring App +₹4,000, Extra AMC Year +₹6,000 |
A buyer picks Tin Shed Roof, 5 kW and Monitoring App. The Estimated Total is ₹1,50,000 + ₹8,000 + ₹90,000 + ₹4,000 = ₹2,52,000.
What buyers see
Each package shows a Starting from price. The buyer taps Configure & Get Quote, chooses options, adds a note and taps Get Quotation →.
- The buyer opens your catalog link and sees your package cards.
- They tap Configure & Get Quote → and answer each step. Required steps are marked with *.
- If live price is on, the Estimated Total updates with each choice.
- They can type in Add a note (optional)..., then tap Get Quotation → and confirm.
- A quotation PDF is created for the buyer, and the request reaches you.
The Starting from price shows only when live price is on and the base price is more than zero. If a required step is skipped, the buyer sees "Please select an option for:" with the step name.
Package enquiries
Package quotations arrive in Pkg Enquiries, separate from product enquiries.
The list shows the Buyer, Package, how many options were picked, Price, Channel, Status and Date. Use the All, New, Seen, Replied and Archived tabs to filter.
Open an enquiry
- Selected Configuration lists each step, the option picked and its price, with the Total Quote.
- The Buyer's Note shows any message the buyer typed.
- The Buyer card has a 💬 WhatsApp button when the buyer's mobile number is known.
- Click 📄 Download PDF for the buyer's quotation, or ⬇️ Download CSV for a spreadsheet of the choices.
Opening a New enquiry marks it as Seen. After you reply, choose Replied under Update Status and click Update. Use Archived for closed requests.
A catalog link holds either products or packages, not both.
Manage your packages
Each package card on the Packages page shows its status, number of steps and base price.
- Edit / Builder opens the details and Steps Builder.
- Copy makes a full copy with all steps and options, then opens it. The copy keeps the same name, so rename it.
- Delete removes the package after you confirm.
Tips and common mistakes
- Package missing from the link. Check its status is Active.
- Keep steps few and clear. Three to five questions are easier on a phone than ten.
- Use Copy for similar packages. Build "Rooftop Solar 3 kW" once, copy it and change the prices for a commercial version.
- Hide prices for custom jobs. If every job needs a site visit, untick live price. Buyers still send their choices, and you quote after.
