Settings
Settings holds your business details, logo, GST and the pages buyers read about you. Click Save Business Profile after any change.
Your buyers never see the Settings screen. They see the result of it on every catalog link, quotation PDF and expired link page. Ten minutes spent here makes every link you send look more professional.
Fill in Settings before you share your first link. A buyer who sees your logo, correct WhatsApp number and About Us page trusts the catalog more.

| Business Name, WhatsApp No | Shown to buyers on catalogs and quotations |

| Currency | The symbol shown. Prices are not converted |

Add and sell individual products
Create service plans, bundles or custom quotes
Business Name and WhatsApp No
Both are required. Use the name your buyers know you by, such as your shop name. Enter the WhatsApp number where you want buyers to reach you, with the right country code.
Industry
Pick the closest match from 13 options: Jewellery, Fashion & Apparel, Textiles & Fabric, Pharmaceuticals, Auto Parts, Home Décor & Furniture, Food & Beverage, Electronics, Cosmetics & Beauty, Agriculture, Real Estate, Solar & EV, or Other.
Business Mail
When a buyer sends a package enquiry, the email for you is sent to this address. Product enquiries are not emailed; they appear in your Enquiries inbox. If you leave it empty, ShowCato uses your login email instead. Use a mailbox someone checks every day, such as orders@yourbusiness.com.
Business Content
This decides what kind of catalog you run:
- Product Catalog: add and sell individual products. Most traders, wholesalers and manufacturers use this.
- Services / Packages: create service plans, bundles or custom quotes. See Packages.
Changing this also changes your team's permission list. See Team Members.
Currency
Choose from 25 currencies, such as Indian Rupee (₹), US Dollar ($), UAE Dirham and British Pound (£). Only the symbol buyers see changes. A price of 1,000 stays 1,000; it is never converted.
If you change the currency after adding products, update your prices yourself. For example, ₹1,000 would simply show as $1,000.
Country, City and Address
These print on quotations and invoices so buyers know where you are. City and Address are optional, but a full address looks more trustworthy on a quotation.
Business Logo
Click Upload Logo. A square JPG or PNG, ideally 400 × 400 px, up to 2 MB. It appears on every catalog link.
Your logo also shows on the expired link page, so buyers still recognise you after a link ends.
- Use a logo with a plain or transparent background.
- Keep text in the logo large. It shows small on phone screens.
- A wide banner-style logo gets squeezed. Make a square version for ShowCato.
GST & Billing
GST is free. Switch on GST Enabled and fill in GSTIN, legal name, PAN and state. Choose whether prices are Exclusive or Inclusive of GST.
Keep GST off if your business does not charge GST. When it is off, the GST fields stay hidden and PDFs use the non-GST format.
| Field | What to enter |
|---|---|
| GSTIN | Required when GST is on. Exactly 15 characters, for example 24ABCDE1234F1Z5 |
| Legal Business Name | The name on your GST certificate, if different from your shop name |
| PAN Number | Optional. 10 characters |
| State | Required when GST is on. Pick your state from the list |
| Default Pricing Mode | Exclusive - GST added on top or Inclusive - price includes GST |
| PDF Options | Show GST breakdown in PDF (on by default) and Show HSN codes in PDF |
| Upload GST Certificate | Optional. PDF or image, up to 5 MB |
Exclusive or Inclusive?
With Exclusive, GST is added on top. A ₹1,000 product at 18% costs the buyer ₹1,180. With Inclusive, ₹1,000 is the final price and GST is shown as already included.
Pick the way you already quote prices to your buyers. Then set each product's GST rate and HSN / SAC code on the product itself. See Products.
Page Content
Write your Company Details, About Us, Privacy Policy, Terms & Conditions and Contact Us. Each appears in your catalog menu.
You can paste plain text or simple HTML into each box. Here is what to write in each one:
| Page | What to include |
|---|---|
| Company Details | Registration info, GST number, PAN, year started, team size |
| About Us | Your story, what you make or sell, and why buyers choose you |
| Privacy Policy | How you collect, use and protect customer data |
| Terms & Conditions | Payment terms, delivery rules, returns and minimum order |
| Contact Us | Business hours, email addresses and phone numbers |
Terms & Conditions are a good place for rules like "Minimum order 50 pieces" or "Prices valid for 7 days". Buyers can read them before they ask for a quotation.
Own Domain
Some accounts see an Own Domain section. It lets buyers open your catalog links on your own website address instead of showcato.in. It is a paid feature; if it is not active, the section shows a link to Go to Advance Features.
- Type your domain in Business Domain, for example xyz.com. Do not add https:// or /c/code.
- Click Save Business Profile. ShowCato shows the DNS records under Seller domain setup.
- Add the TXT Verification record with your domain provider, and point the listed paths to the ShowCato target host.
- Come back and verify. The Status changes from Pending to Verified.
DNS changes can take time to spread. If verification fails, check the TXT record and try again later. One domain can be connected to only one business.
Profile and password
Click your name → User Profile to change your name, email or password.
- Save Profile updates your Name and Login Mail ID.
- Update Password needs your Current Password, a new password of at least 8 characters, and Confirm New Password.
- If you sign in with Google, you can Set Password instead. This switches you to normal email and password login.
More than one business
Click your name → Add Business. Each business has its own data. Switch from the same menu.
For example, a family may run a saree shop and a jewellery shop. Each business gets its own products, buyers, links, enquiries, logo and GST details. Your login, storage and team stay with your account.
Delete Business
Delete Business permanently removes the business you are working in. Its products, categories, collections, links, buyers, enquiries, packages, invoices and rates are all removed. Your login account and other businesses stay active.
- Switch to the business you want to delete.
- Click Delete Business at the bottom of Settings.
- Type DELETE and enter your password to confirm.
You cannot delete your only business. Add another business first. Before deleting, use Export CSV on Buyers and Enquiries if you want to keep a copy.
Common mistakes
- Wrong WhatsApp number. Buyers reply to it from the quotation. Check the country code.
- No Business Mail. Package enquiry emails then go to your login email, which you may not check.
- Forgetting to save. Changes are lost if you leave the page before clicking Save Business Profile.
- GST on, wrong mode. If your price list already includes GST, choose Inclusive, or buyers will see GST added twice.
